who wants to know who sam is? here is the low down:

-sam is a drummer

-sam is australian

-sam is in hollywood

-sam and joe play in a band together called "the black tories"

-joe is in vancouver anxiously biting off the last of his finger and toe nails waiting for sam to come back.

-joe and sam agree that playing together in the black tories is a mutually beneficial enterprise and [...] they have even talked about getting a bass player.

there is not much more i can say about sam over the internet without either embarrassing him or having him sue me, but there is one thing i know -- sam rips the shit on the skins, oh-boy-oh-boy. check out his signature air "stab" at live shows as he battles his inner demons and brings the music of the tories to a thunderous, transcendent climax.

here are some things to keep in mind in the coming months:

1) we'll be recording two new songs at the end of july/early august. and releasing them, most likely, as an e.p. (tentatively call "dead girl")

2) in response to rabid interest in tories music we'll be planning a world tour for the fall with canadian dates including head-smashed-in-buffalo-jump, alberta; spuzzum, british columbia, pilot butte, saskatchewan; and flin flon, manitoba (home of bobby-fuckin-clark)

so keep yer oils burnin,

p.s. if you have ordered c.d.'s online and have not received them yet, be-not-afraid! they are on there way. being a young, virginal company kill kool records has had to iron out a few gliches in the shipping department (i.e. firing me, the shipping manager [then re-hiring myself because i'm the only person with c.d.'s)
